The Monocle

An opening conceived as a journey: Parisian streets, a train to the countryside, and a changing landscape of live performance, projections and sound. Nathan Granner contributed concept, co-direction, video/projection work and music for the opening. The exhibition’s artworks were created by their respective artists.

Designing the journey.

These staging diagrams come from the original opening proposal. They document the planned experience, rather than photographs of the finished installation. The Monocle’s collaborative plan includes separate sound, lighting, costume and performance responsibilities.
